Wacipi x Stone Fall 2026

Litter Information

Litter Goals:

This upcoming field Golden Retriever litter is thoughtfully designed to enhance the long-term health and vitality of the line by intentionally lowering the Coefficient of Inbreeding (COI) and kinship levels. By introducing greater heterozygosity, the breeding aims to expand genetic diversity and reduce the risk of inherited disorders common in more concentrated pedigrees. Despite this focus on genetic health, the litter remains dedicated to the traditional field standard, carefully maintaining the elite athleticism, high-speed performance, and biddable temperament that define a premier working retriever.

KC Back To The Future, Wacipi's sire, affectionately known as "Marty," is a distinguished dark red field Golden Retriever who exemplifies the pinnacle of athletic and working performance. Born in October 2018, Marty has earned prestigious AKC titles, including Master Hunter (MH) and Qualified All-Age 2 (QA2), marking him as an elite competitor in both hunt tests and high-level field trials. Beyond his impressive "field pedigree", he is recognized as an Outstanding Sire (OS), consistently passing on his drive, marking ability, and biddable temperament to his offspring.

Combining a premier field Golden Retriever performance pedigree with a "popular sire-less" lineage represents a strategic commitment to breed preservation and long-term health. In many working lines, "Popular Sire Syndrome" can inadvertently narrow the gene pool, as a few highly-titled males dominate the pedigree landscape. By intentionally selecting against these over-represented lines, I will lower the Coefficient of Inbreeding (COI) and increase heterozygosity.
